From Etsy download to one coloring-page test print
A coloring PDF is a file you download and print yourself. Before sending a whole collection to the printer, find the correct file, choose one artwork page and check how its border fits. A single test page can reveal a wrong page range or a printer-margin problem without using paper for the rest of the book.
This guide uses our Intricate Patterns corrected selection: 26 designs in a 30-page main PDF. It is a general workflow, not a report that we tested your printer, paper or ink.
Find the file through Etsy in a browser
Etsy's current instructions say digital purchases cannot be downloaded inside its app. Open Etsy.com in a phone or computer browser, sign in to the account used for the order, then open Purchases. Find the order and choose Download Files. If payment is still processing, the download control may be gray. For an instant-download guest order, use the download link in the receipt email. Save the main coloring PDF somewhere you can find again, then open it in a PDF viewer. A thank-you or printing-notes file is a companion; it is not the artwork collection. If the download is missing or will not open, contact WedgeMethod through the order's Etsy Messages with the file name, device and error. Do not send passwords or card information.
Use the PDF viewer's page counter
The cover counts as PDF page 1. In this corrected selection:
| Viewer page | What you should see |
|---|---|
| 1 | Cover stating 26 coloring designs |
| 2 | Instructions and a note about the corrected selection |
| 3 | The first coloring design: a detailed mandala |
| 3–28 | The 26 artwork pages |
| 29–30 | Back matter |
Some small labels printed inside the original artwork skip numbers. Two cropped designs were removed, and the surviving artwork labels were retained. To print the first design, use page 3 in the PDF viewer, even though the little label on the picture says 1.
Check these settings before printing
- Put the paper you intend to use in the printer and select the matching paper size. The PDF is laid out for US Letter, 8.5 × 11 inches.
- Set the page selection to the single page you want. For the mandala, that is PDF page 3. Check that the preview shows artwork rather than the cover.
- Look at all four sides of the preview. The whole outer border should be visible. If the viewer offers Fit or Fit to printable area, use it when needed to keep the border inside your printer's margins. Setting names vary by viewer and printer.
- Print one copy. Follow the printer manufacturer's paper-weight limits; thicker paper is not automatically compatible with every machine.
If you are using A4, choose A4 as the loaded paper size and inspect the scaled preview. The US Letter layout and A4 sheet have different proportions. Check the actual result instead of assuming that one scaling setting works everywhere.
Read the test page before printing more
Compare the sheet with the PDF on screen. Is the border complete? Are the small shapes readable at the printed size? Does the page sit where you expected? If a border is missing only on paper, revisit the printer margins and scaling. If the PDF itself looks different from the listing, pause and ask the seller to check the file.
Try your coloring material on a spare piece of the same paper. For markers, check the back and protect the surface underneath. Compatibility depends on the materials; this guide does not promise that ink will not bleed or show through.
Once the test works for your setup, keep a note of the paper, scaling setting and viewer you used. Then print the next page you actually want to color.
Choose a first page
Try one small mandala section with three pencils, or compare the butterfly, feather and mandala layouts.
We make and sell the Intricate Patterns digital download on Etsy. Its artwork is AI-assisted; the purchase is for personal-use files, not a shipped book. Use the purchased PDF for printing rather than a website preview image.
